It has been awhile, I apologize family. :) We have an announcement though; as of yesterday Brad and I are soon to be the proud owners of a new Toyota Corolla! We are so excited! We have been trying to decide for the past couple of weeks what we should buy, and we were struggling to make a decision. Yesterday, we went out for lunch, (a wonderful perk of Brad working nights is that we get to spend time together during the day!) and as we were eating he asked if I wanted to go buy a Corolla. I was pumped! The corolla was by far my favorite of the cars we have been looking at. We thought about a Mazda 3, but we were not as impressed by the price, and personally I felt like the leg room in the back was not very good, and that's bad for someone who is 5'1". Yay! We promise to add pictures soon, but we are waiting for the car to arrive, next week!
Onto other news, Brad has been working nights this past week, and I have decided that if I weren't going to be working, this would be an awesome schedule! He is home all day with me and does not leave until I am going to bed. It's a pretty good deal, although I will be glad when I'm not all alone at night. I watched a scary movie two nights ago, and it got a little creepy being by myself. :) All is well though, because he is off tonight and Saturday night.
Last weekend we went to Lake day with our nearly newlymarried class and had a great time! We met some more neat couples from the class, and THIS girl learned to wake board! It was so exciting but Brad didn't get to see because we had gone in two different boats. Just means I'll have to show him soon! I was excited since the last time I was on the water with him, I couldn't get up on the two skis. After Lake Day we went to dinner and then watched the Purdue game with some friends! Yay for friends who went to Purdue!

Slowly but surely
After many requests from certain family members, here are some pictures of our apartment. Now, remember, we are still working on this...and we still have MANY bins to unpack, but we are clearly making progress.
This is from June, when we first arrived. Note the bare feeling of the kitchen.
Our empty closet in June.
Our table with to-do lists before I left go back to Indiana. We love our kitchen table, it is the first piece of furniture that we bought together.
Our guest bathroom, in all it's glory....clearly it needed some work! :)
The master with Brad's old sheets on my old bed. This has been changed. 
Now...onto the chaos. This is after we got home from Maui. We were beginning to unpack all the gifts while doing our laundry and trying to figure out the space issue. We definitely had our work cut out for us.
Our guest bedroom, our temporary storage unit.
The kitchen as we unpacked and sent all our new things through the dishwasher.
One word. Wow. 
Now, as we are beginning to make some progress, this is our one point of decoration. I realize that the picture is not the highest quality, sorry about that. 
Our master bathroom, as it slowly becomes our own place.
The guest bathroom, and once we get our shower curtain it will look more put together.

Our kitchen now! Not so bad right? It's beginning to be cute! Note our vinegar and oil containers, my favorite parts of the kitchen!
This is important, notice all the tupperware containers! I am trying to be a good wife, and have been trying to cook every night! Brad told me not to cook tonight because our leftovers will go bad. :) I feel the importance of informing you of what these containers hold. We have some baked chicken, spaghetti, trotter's corn, fresh green beans, and a spinach salad! Woohoo look at us go!

Mom...this is for you. Look at the pillows! We have to buy one more green and blue one, but take note of what we bought! :)
One thing that hasn't changed, our view. We love the view from our porch. Brad, the good husband he is, has made us a table for our balcony, but it has not been relocated from Aaron and Shauna's quite yet. Soon, very soon! He did such a good job!
As for us! Life is good! We love being married! Learning to live with one another is an adventure, but we're having a great time! I have decided I have the best husband! He is good to me. I cook, and he does the dishes. He helps me with the laundry, and every morning he makes coffee and it is waiting for me when I get up after he leaves. He is amazing! Brad has been working different hours each week, and for the next two weeks will be on nights. Please pray for us as we figure out how our schedules will work together. Currently all is well, because I am not yet working, but we are still unsure how the schedules will mesh once I begin working because I won't have much say in my schedule in the beginning. We are taking comfort in knowing this won't be forever, it is just part of beginning new jobs. Brad is liking his job though, and that is awesome!
Since Brad has been in Austin he has been attending Austin Stone Community Church (http://www.austinstone.org), and we are hoping to get more involved and are considering making this our church home. We have met some AMAZING couples who love the Lord, and who have been wonderful friends to us. We began a nearly/newly married class this past week, and have a small group every Monday evening for this. We are in Aaron and Shauna's group, along with two other couples who seem really great! This weekend we have Lake Day with the class, so we're pumped!
We also have to go shopping this weekend! FOR A CAR! As much as I miss my little Saturn, and I miss her a TON, I am ready to have a car here. We haven't decided what we're buying yet, but we're pretty excited.
So there is my update for now. I have more unpacking to do, and we have an exterminator coming today, because we have some little ants who have decided to become our roommates and they are driving me CRAZY! Poor Brad, I think he is concerned about his wife's sanity. He is an extremely clean man, so I know this ant thing can't really be our fault, but I tell you what, AHHHH! So, this exterminator will be my best friend if he can rid us of our unwanted roomies.

It was early, I hadn't slept well due to major EXCITEMENT! This was a demonstration for all the ladies at the hair salon.
We had the best groomsmen and ushers! You guys were so much fun!
Brad was a trooper and held onto my flowers for me.
Words can't describe what these six girls mean to me! I love them.

Honeymoon!
I have only a few minutes to post a few pictures, but I think I figured this all out! :)
So this good looking guy was a good sport and wore the lei onto our plane from Dallas to Maui . He was not so excited about it but I convinced him anyways. I may have been a little more excited about our flight. First class was AMAZING!
If we look FREEZING and tired that is because it as 5:30am and we had already driven two hours, and it was absolutely icy up there and I was wrapped in hotel towels.
It was totally worth it though, as this was the beginning of the gorgeous sunrise.
Later on as the sun kept coming up.
Black sand beach on the Road to Hana! (Will write more about this later!)
After dinner one night we found some midwesterners to take our picture on the resort's beach.
This was outside of a restaurant in Lahaina. Isn't it beautiful?
The inside of our resort. We were amazed.
That island out there had the coolest story. On top of it are palm trees, two of them were planted by two brothers before they went to WWII so that their parents could look out and remember them if they did not come home from war, now there is a palm tree grove. (The made it back alive too!)
This was big beach, the most beautiful beach I have EVER seen. This beach hater has been reformed.
This was after dinner one night! We loved it at the Grand Wailea! We'll write more later, but this was part of our trip!

Newlyweds!!
Hi from Austin! We made it back safely from Maui on Sunday, and are beginning to get things organized around the apartment; by starting I mean this place is a madhouse and we finally got rid of some extra boxes.
Starting from the beginning, though, on September 1st, 2007 Brad and I became Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Allison! We had such a perfect day, and neither of us could have even hoped for a better day! For those of you who were involved in the wedding, can we just give you a HUGE thank you! Our wedding party, the musicians, the readers, the singers, the pastor, the coordinator, our parents and family, WOW we are so amazingly blessed! For the past week, as we have been thinking about the wedding, unpacking gifts and all our belongings, looking at pictures, and just remembering the day we are just so overwhelmed by how the Lord has blessed us with amazing family and friends! Thank you all for being a part of us!
Onto a lighter note, yes we had a fantastic time at the wedding! I have some pictures that Sarah and Phil took, (which are amazing! and if I can figure out how to post I will if this is ok with the photographers) and after all the craziness of planning the day just came together. After the wedding we drove to Indy, and flew out on Sunday morning to Maui, Hawii!! Oh my goodness, Maui was absolutely gorgeous! How can you describe a place that is clearly the artwork of our God? (We have pictures of this also, soon to be posted!) While in Maui we watched a sunrise on Haleakala - BEAUTIFUL, went on a sunset dinner cruise, enjoyed snorkeling with the fish and sea turtles, and had some major relax on the most beautiful beach/awesome resort pool and read time. Could not get any better than that!
Sunday we arrived back in Austin, and it finally hit this girl that Austin is now home. Brad has been a wonderful husband and very encouraging even when I get sad about missing the family and friends. Our apartment was so fun to come home too, though! It was like Christmas in September! We opened all our gifts and then went to dinner with some friends. It was wonderful, and great to see them.
On Monday, we both had the day off, so we spent some time down by the Heart Hospital trying to fill out my new hire paperwork. This was a task, but I believe it will be completely worth it!
Today, Brad had to go back to work, and it was my job to navigate the town of Austin/Round Rock all by myself. I dropped him off in the morning, and then came back to the apartment to get some things finished. I attempted to be a good housewife...although Brad will tell you I clearly have some work to do. :) All is good in the hood though! Except for the fact that I spent 2 1/2 hours in an office today for a 5 minute physical. Could have passed on that adventure! Life is good though! We love married life! We love being in the same city and being able to come home to each other at night! We love that the Lord gave us this and it is so much better than we ever hoped for! YAY! So, we'll update you all soon! Pictures from the wedding and honeymoon to follow! Hasta all!
